The group set off for Mount Monadnock — the world’s most-hiked mountain, located only 40 minutes from campus — on a loud and lively bus ride. At the foot of the mountain, all unloaded and stocked up on water bottles and bug spray before beginning the ascent.

The threat of thunderstorms put prefects on their guard Friday morning as they made preparations for the afternoon’s fun at the Connecticut River, but to the relief of all, the clouds rolled away after lunch and left the afternoon quite warm and sunny. 

Euclidean demonstrations, philosophical musings, and lunchtime shenanigans ensued this morning, now almost halfway through the one-week High School Summer Program ...

On Thursday afternoon, the programmers received their first swing dance lesson, attended study hall, and revered Our Lord in Adoration.

A full afternoon of field games and camaraderie ensued as the summer programmers engaged in friendly competition between sections.

The summer programmers dove straight into their first Socratic seminars Wednesday morning, discussing the Greek tragedy “Antigone” and definitions in Euclid’s “Elements.”
