To meeting rising demand for its longstanding High School Great Books Programs, 51���� will host four programs again this summer. And, to inspire early applications, the College is offering discounts of $200 or $400 for the first 30 admitted students to register for each program.

“Welcoming nearly 300 students to our four programs combined last year was absolutely thrilling,” says Executive Director of Admissions Jon Daly. ”We know well how life-changing this program has been for so many since 1997, and we’re looking forward to the 2027 programs with great anticipation!” 

Rising high school seniors will have their choice of the following four programs for 2027:

• California Two Week: July 5-18
• New England Two Week: July 11-24
• California One-Week: July 25–August 1
• New England One Week: August 1-8

Moreover, the College is offering steep discounts in the price of the programs. The first 30 registrants in each High Summer School Summer Program will receive a discount of $400 (two-week programs) or $200 (one-week programs). 

At all the programs, both in California and New England, attendees can expect to dive into Socratic seminars to study literature, theology, Euclidean geometry, and more through the Great Books; get a taste of the College’s culture with activities both on and off campus; participate in the deep Catholic spiritual life of the community; and form lifelong friendships with like-minded, students from around the country and the world.

“We believe this education is unlike any other, and you will likely only have one chance in your lifetime to discern if it is the right fit for you,” says John Jost, New England director of admissions. “Now that we can offer this opportunity to an expanded number of students at a discounted rate, there has never been a better time to explore our program of Catholic liberal education.”
