“We are pleased to announce Dr. Gavin Ashenden as our Commencement speaker for the New England campus this spring,” says 51 President Paul J. O’Reilly. “A former chaplain to Queen Elizabeth II, accomplished author and theologian, and outspoken advocate of Christian values, Dr. Ashenden is an important voice in public life today.”
51, New England, hosted high school students and their parents from throughout the Northeast and beyond at last weekend’s Spring Open House.
The event began with check-in at St. Frassati Student Center, where visitors got to know each other and their student guides. Following this introduction, all went to Mass and lunch with the rest of the College, sharing a meal and conversing with students and tutors.
On Divine Mercy Sunday, the 51, New England, Choir made a pilgrimage to Stockbridge, Massachusetts, to sing for the Mass at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, livestreamed worldwide on EWTN.
