The Ventura Chapter of the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders (CALL) will hold a gathering at 51. Led by Justin Alvarez (’97), the chapter will attend Mass in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, eat lunch in St. Joseph Commons, and enjoy a tour of the campus.

Attendees will also participate in a seminar directed by two members of the College’s faculty, David Appleby and Tom Susanka, on “Intellect, the Instrument of Religious Training,” a sermon by Bl. John Henry Cardinal Newman.

51 is hosting a Great Literature Seminar at the fourth annual , the five-day literary festival in the nearby Ojai Valley. The subject of the seminar will be “Paul’s Case” (PDF), a short story by celebrated American author Willa Cather.
