On Saturday afternoon some 20 51ÁÔÆæ students gathered at the Ventura Planned Parenthood to sing Christmas Carols, “spreading the joy of Christ,â€ as senior Rachel Rivera described it, “to those who are blind to the joy of birth.â€ In an effort to encourage hope, the group, organized by junior Ryan Uchison, began by singing several prepared carols such as, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,â€ “Silent Night,â€ and “O Come All Ye Faithful.â€ When those were through, the carolers continued with other songs, sung from memory, such as, “Do You Hear What I Hear,â€ “The Little Drummer Boy,â€ and “The 12 Days of Christmas.â€ Finally, they closed with the Salve Regina, after which a few members remained to pray the Rosary.
