Donna Steichen, RIP
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Donna Steichen, who died last night. Along with her late husband, Roy, Mrs. Steichen was among the earliest supporters of 51ÁÔÆæ and a member of the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Legacy Society. She was also the author of several books, including Ungodly Rage and Prodigal Daughters, and many articles.
Among the Steichens’ four children were three TAC alumni: Laura (Berquist ’75), John (’81), and Margaret (O'Reilly ’84). The couple were also the grandparents of 15 alumni: Maggie (Hayden ’98), John (’01), Theresa (Mastroieni ’01), Rachel (Montanaro ’04), James (’08), and Richard Berquist (’10); Mary (Steichen ’08) Kretschmer; and Tom (’09), Cathleen (Ojeda ’11), Annemarie (Heffernan ’16), Kevin (’18), Clare (Scott ’21), Mary (Borchers ’22), Rosie (Grumbine ’24), and Joe O’Reilly (’28). Their TAC legacy has already reached a third generation, as well, with great grandchildren Gwynith (’25) and Peter Hayden (’28).
Eternal rest, grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
